Located less than two hours drive from central London, Stoke Rochford Golf Club is ideal for a golfing getaway. Stoke Rochford Golf Club is recognized as one of the most attractive and interesting golf courses in Lincolnshire and the East Midlands. Nestled behind mature trees and the estate wall, the course features a series of interesting contours, as well as four river holes on Cringle Brook. With its fast fairways and profiled greens, the course promises a real challenge for golfers of all levels.
The 18-hole course extends over a length of 6133 meters, par 70; it is nestled in a park with a beautiful variety of trees. The terrain is undulating, with good drainage which makes the course playable all year round, and its fairways are more like a links type golf course, with fast rolling surfaces in the summer. It is rare for temporary greens to be in play during the winter months, and every effort is made to ensure play takes place on the appropriate greens. One of the strengths of the course is its greens, which are fast and undulating, making putting a real challenge. It is also useful to know which line to hit the ball on to get the best line into the greens. Overall, for a test of golf on a fair but challenging course, Stoke Rochford is hard to beat.
Laid out in 1924 by Stafford Vere Hotchkin (of Woodhall Spa fame) on the grounds of the Stoke Rochford Estate, Stoke Rochford regularly hosts national and regional meets, as well as companies and individuals wishing to book a tee time.
The club is only open to visitors on weekdays. The Green Fees vary according to the formula chosen, from 30 to 39 £.
The club is open from 8 a.m. to 21 p.m.
