History
The Golf des Tumulus is the work of Charles de Ginestet. In the 1980s he created the 9-hole golf course in the middle of the Laloubère racecourse. Then, after 5 years of work, he inaugurated the 18 hole coursedare Tumulus in 1988. His idea of making a golf course near the city center of Tarbes in Laloubère allows to bring to life and to make discover the passion of golf to many sportsmen. After his departure in 1992, golf remained in the family with the succession of his son Yves de Ginestet.
The 18-hole course
The Tumulus golf course is relatively flat and spreads its greens and fairways over a distance of 5400 meters. The holes are short and technical. The different departure areas allow beginners as well as experienced players to golf at their level. So in a calm, shaded, pleasant and relaxing setting, the Tumulus golf course appeals to all golfers and nature lovers.
