Sandwell Park Golf Club is located on the edge of the Sandwell Valley, a green belt area in the heart of the West Midlands, bordering Birmingham, West Bromwich and Walsall. It is located just 6,5 km from Birmingham city centre. It offers its members and visitors an 18-hole course designed by Harry Colt.
The Sandwell Park site is a championship course in rolling parkland, located in the heart of the West Midlands and on the edge of the Sandwell Valley. Designed in the late 19th century by Harry S Colt, one of the most renowned course designers of his time, it is widely regarded as one of the finest in the region. It is a severe test for golfers of all skill levels because not only do players have to be accurate from the tee, they also have to know how to gauge the speed of the greens.
Founded in 1895, the club was originally called “West Bromwich Golf Club”. After moving to its current site of Sandwell Park at Christmas 1897, the club renamed itself as it is known today. The Sandwell Park course was first a 9-hole golf course, before expanding and becoming an 18-hole. The course was designed by renowned architect HS Colt and, although widely recognized as a great test of golf, it is also accessible to amateur golfers.
Green Fees are £55 on weekdays in the morning and £35 in the afternoon.
