Inaugurated in 1992, with 18 holes par 72 and a championship course with a length of 6.452 meters, the course of Golf Club Poggio dei Medici is one of the most prestigious in Italy. Designed by architect Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and player Baldovino Dassù according to USGA standards, Poggio dei Medici was recognized as the “best new pitch” when it opened.
It was recently awarded by "CondèNast Traveler" in its own "Hot List" as "the best Golf Club", surpassing courses like those of the K Club in Ireland and the Greebrier in the United States.
The course, in the heart of the Mugello valley, protected by the Apennines, offers 5 different starting tees for an exciting match for all levels.
The field has a large practice, with Pitching and Putting Green, bunkers, 6 covered and 24 uncovered pitches, a PGA teacher available for private or group lessons. Golf carts, manual trolleys and bags for hire, caddies on request.
The field is open all year round, every day. From 1999 to 2003, Poggio dei Medici hosted the Women's Italian Open of the European Tour; the winners in this field were: Samantha Head, UK, in 1999; Sophie Gustafson, Sweden, in 2000; Paula Marti, Spain, in 2001; IbenTinning, Denmark, in 2002; Ludivine Kreutz, France, in 2003.

It is located in the main courtyard of the hotel and also has an outdoor terrace with views of Lake Cignano and the driving range. The recipes of Tuscan cuisine are based on the use of simple and natural products such as bread, olive oil, vegetables, meats from local pastures and homemade pasta, but the influences of splendor and the eccentricity of the Renaissance courtyards are at the origin of more elaborate dishes.
The Chef offers seasonal menus, with themed evenings and varied culinary events, linked either to typical products (porcini mushrooms, truffles, chestnuts) or to the different Italian regions, or even to wines.
Located in the main courtyard, it extends in summer on the outdoor terrace with views of Lake Cignano and on the driving range.
The UNA Bar offers, in addition to the normal bar service, a catering service with a mini menu outside of restaurant opening hours, under the arbor installed in summer by the swimming pools.
