Littlehampton Golf Club is located on the Sussex coast in the seaside town of Littlehampton. The coast has many resorts, some large and some smaller like Littlehampton. Littlehampton is surrounded by wide open spaces, woods, rivers and harbours.
The Littlehampton course is close to West Beach Local Nature Reserve, a complex of sand dunes. Parts of the course are also part of the Climping Beach Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), which has national protection. This unique setting allows wildlife, insects and plants to thrive on the course, providing an experience for all golfers.
On February 16, 1889, the Littlehampton Golf Club was established by architect JHTaylor. The original course had 9 holes, but it was upgraded to 18 holes in 1893. The original course consisted of a pleasant, but tricky outdoor part played among the sand hills. The inner part has been considerably improved by adding fresh ground, the existing holes have been lengthened and the bunkers tightened by the architects Hawtree and JH Taylor Ltd.
The club green fee is £50 on weekdays, for 18 holes; at the weekend, the Green Fees are £60. After 13pm the rate is £30 on weekdays and £35 on weekends.
The doors of the club are open from 7 a.m. to 17 p.m.
