The Lindrick Golf Club, located in Great Britain in South Torkshire, offers a rough experience even for the most seasoned golfers! Informed players will indeed appreciate its fast greens, due to their remarkable firmness, as well as its strategic bunkers. Its qualities explain why Lindrick's gorse-lined fairways host many events: the Yorkshire Challenge, the Heathland Classic, the Open Regional Qualifier... The Lindrick Golf Club is also renowned for its excellent playing conditions during the winter. . Although Lindrick's career is steeped in history, he does not forget to stay up to date; recently, in 2016, it was completely redesigned by a renowned architect, Ken Moodie.
The Lindrick Golf Club opened its doors in 1891, offering players a 9-hole course designed by one of the pioneers of professional golf, “Old” Tom Morris. Quickly taken over by English players, the Lindrick was considered in the early 1900s as the best course in Britain.
The course of the Lindrick Golf Club has the distinction of being located on either side of a road crossing the county of York (A57). The route is joined by two tunnels; its holes 1 to 11 as well as hole 18 are located to the south, and the others are to the north of the A57.
Note that the 18th hole is one of the 500 best holes in the world, which explains Lindrick's constant popularity.
