Situated just off the A414 and less than 12 miles from the M25, Chelmsford Golf Club is easily accessible. This well-established parkland course, which measures 5996 yards, is still in excellent condition and provides a challenging and enjoyable test for golfers of all skill levels. Chelmsford Golf Club is one of the oldest traditional private clubs in the county, having celebrated its centenary in 1993. From humble beginnings, its course is now recognized as one of the best in Essex County and is a challenge for demanding golfers.
The Chelmsford Club 18-hole course measures 5 yards. It provides a stimulating and enjoyable challenge for golfers of all skill levels.
The course, par 68/72, is deceptively difficult, with a precise layout that has seen Chelmsford Golf Club produce many successful players and teams in recent years.
The course has inherited a rich history. The club has indeed moved several times since its foundation in 1893. James Braid and Harry Colt are among the illustrious designers who have intervened in the life of the course.
The Green Fees are communicated on request to the club. Members' guests can access the course, for an entry fee of £35 for guests accompanied by a member, and £80 for unaccompanied guests.
The club is open daily from 8 a.m. to 18 p.m.
