East Berkshire is a golf club located in Crowthorne, just over an hour from central London by car via the M4. Its course mixes park and heath, and has many natural waterways flowing over the land to guard the greens.
The East Berkshire Golf Club course has 18 holes par 69, spread over 6236 yards. Designed by Peter Paxton, it has beautiful natural obstacles and cleverly requires doglegs. Although it is over 6200 yards long, the course is shorter than it looks; add to that the undulating and fast greens, and you have a real challenge not only for the players' hitting ability, but also for their discipline and course strategy, as competitors in the annual East Berks Stag will testify. Shaped fairways that open out into well-defined semi-rough terrain help identify driving zones and carefully placed obstacles on the greens ensure that lost shots will not be rewarded.
The club was created in 1903, and since its foundation, it has received some famous visitors: Bobby Locke and Gary Player, Luke Donald, Scott Fallon, Sandy Lyle...
The Green Fees amount to £70 on weekdays in winter, £80 on weekends, while during the summer season, it will be necessary to count on a rate of £90 on weekdays, and £110 on weekends.
The club opens its doors from 7 a.m. to 21 p.m. However, the club is not open to visitors in the morning on weekends.
