Museum Overview
The Courson Golf Course is a lunar-like Links-style course. On an estate of more than 100 hectares , south of Paris in Essonne , in Courson-Monteloup in the Île-de-France region , the 36 holes of the Courson Stade-Français golf course are ranked among the most beautiful in the world by many specialist magazines.
Numerous lakes, ponds, and water hazards of varying sizes feature on fourteen of the 36 holes of this vast complex. The course is heavily inspired by Scottish golf courses and also resembles the French national golf course , with dunes along the fairways that can serve as natural bleachers. Having hosted the French Open qualifying rounds for 12 years, the UGolf de Courson is among the most prestigious golf courses in Europe.
History
Inaugurated in June 1991, the Courson golf course was designed by architect Robert Von Hagge. This one has achieved many of the most beautiful courses in the United States and in Europe.
4 courses of 9 holes Green / Orange / Black / Lilac.
The 4 9-hole courses of the Courson golf course combine wide fairways, vast greens and ponds of various sizes. These many lakes are in play at the drive and second shot for sometimes perilous green attacks. Also, when the wind blows, the difficulty of the course increases and will require you to perfectly master your ball trajectories. Low ball "Stinger", Fade, Draw ... only the best ball handlers will be able to tame this demanding Links and bring back a nice scorecard to the Club-House.
Training area:
- A magnificent practice of 60 stations, including 12 covered, equipped for your warm-ups and your golf lessons.
- A practice on grass open all year round. Accessible to all, and during the golf course's opening hours.
- 2 putting greens with a total surface area of 2000 m², each with their own specificities.
- A bunker over 15 meters long where you will find all possible positions (ball above, ball below your feet, etc.)
In all weathers, this approaching stage of Courson Golf is usable, the teeing areas as well as the green being synthetic.
