History of Golf des Bordes
The Les Bordes golf course was originally born from an idea when the industrialist Baron Bich (the “Bic” pen brand) met the businessman Mr. Yoshiaki Sakurai. The two friends then decide to create a golf course of high quality and international dimension for their pleasure and that of their friends.

Robert Von Haage, Téxan architect with multiple creations was contacted to give an "American" touch to the project. Without limit given to the investment as well as to the size of the course, Von Haage created an extraordinary course by its beauty and originality. He knew how to exploit the riches of Sologne by integrating lakes with 12 of the 18 holes, while pushing the golfer in the heart of the Sologne forest.

The future of golf Les Bordes - The New Course - Gil Hanse-designed
In Les Bordes, there will soon be the Old Course and the New Course. This second course will offer a real contrast with its elder. Indeed, the layout of this new course will be inspired by a British links. With fairways planted with gorse, broom, but also heather and large jagged bunkers.
