Golf de Castres Gourjade

For those who do not yet know this unique course, the enchantment will be great when discovering the golf course of Mazamet La Barouge which seems to have always been there.
Jealously protected by a dense setting of trees which almost hermetically isolate it from the city of Mazamet, yet a stone's throw away, it gives at the same time the impression of being in the middle of the Montagne Noire, the first summits of which overlook it.

The golf course covers 54 hectares for a length of 5635m. It has a beautifully wooded landscape and two rivers intertwine there (the Thoré and the Issalès).
Scottish architects Ross Mackenzie and Mr Hawtree have created a gently rolling course without being too physical. Technically harmonious, it is a challenge for all categories of golfers: beginners and experienced.
The course is playable in all seasons, all year round.

The Golf des Étangs de Fiac is located in a charming location, between the pleasures of the Pays de Cocagne and the charm of the Tarn landscapes in the Midi-Pyrénées region. Its 18 larger-than-life holes offer beginners and high-level players alike all the pleasures and refinements that make this course a technical and visual treat. We are on one of the most interesting courses in Midi-Pyrénées.
History:
The Etangs de Fiac golf course opened its first 9-hole section in 1987, then the 9 new holes appeared in 1990. It was designed by the English architect Mark Hawtree & son.

The Fiac course is a PAR 71, distance 5594 m; This course without physical difficulties and diversified, revolves around bodies of water which gives it all its appeal and charm.
Training areas

Practice: On water! it is made up of 25 workstations, 3 of which are covered and open every day.
Putting green: located just in front of the secretariat, with 7 practice holes. The approach area and the training bunker are located behind the clubhouse next to the finish of 18.

The course
Created by Jean Garaialde and Jeremy Pern in 1989 on the estate of the Château de Lasbordes, this 18-hole championship with a varied and balanced design is renowned for its technicality.
With a length of 6052 meters, the game invites you to explore your game, each hole offering a new situation and some new subtleties. A precise set of irons and long drives will be required to tame water hazards and steep greens. With, as a bonus, a few breathtaking holes, such as 7 and 13, on the banks of the Tarn, or 15 with its breathtaking view of the cathedral.
The golf course is equipped with a driving range with covered posts, a large putting green, and has a clubhouse with reception, changing rooms, Pro-shop, bar and restaurant located in the buildings of the old castle of Lasbordes.
