Museum Overview

Established in 1969, the Bourbon Golf Club is the first golf course on Réunion Island. Located in the south of the island, just 3 minutes from the black sand beaches, the Bourbon Golf Club lies in the heart of the Étang Salé state forest . The fairly long and flat 68-hectare course is surrounded by casuarina and eucalyptus trees and offers magnificent views of the island's highlands.

Its clay tennis courts, swimming pool, compact 6-hole course, and restaurant offer a pleasant setting amidst lush vegetation and bougainvillea that are always in bloom. With over 1,000 members, the Bourbon Golf Club boasts nearly half of all golfers on Réunion Island. Three thousand visitors come to play on this course each year.

The course can be described as "inland" (forested), with a very classic, straightforward yet technical design due to its numerous elevated greens and around fifty strategically placed bunkers. The 18-hole, par 72 course allows both experienced and beginner golfers to showcase all aspects of the game. The course measures 6,101 meters in length , with a slope rating of 138 from the white tees. Its endemic vegetation and geographical location make it a unique golf course and one of Réunion's most remarkable tourist attractions.

Education

The Bourbon Golf School, ffgolf approved, operates from September to early July, depending on the school calendar, under the educational responsibility of state-certified golf professionals. Each quarter, 9 sessions are scheduled with a pro, as well as a Golf School Trophy (all levels competition from 3 to 18 holes). Children from 4 to 18 years old are divided into different groups based on age and level of play. Lessons take place on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Children enrolled in the Golf School benefit from unlimited practice balls during the hours, loan of equipment for beginners and access to the Ti'Parcours (6 compact holes). Those whose level is deemed sufficient by the teachers have access to the 9 or 18-hole course, by reservation, in predefined time slots dedicated to the Golf School.

The Green Tee Golf Restaurant "Le Green Tee", your restaurant at the Golf de Bourbon welcomes you in its enchanting setting. From 7:30 am, enjoy a breakfast full of vitamins to start the day off right! For lunch, the catering offer evolves around two axes:

A slate of weekly and daily suggestions of the "Parisian brasserie" type
A fixed card giving pride of place to organic and local products.

The Gree Tee is open to everyone, golfers or not, Sunday to Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 20 p.m., and until 21 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
