16 km from Bordeaux-Mérignac airport and 18 km from Bordeaux city center, the Golf du Médoc offers two remarkable 18-hole courses: the Castles and the Vines. Ranked among the top 100 golf courses in continental Europe, these two technical courses regularly host international championships. All the courses represent 3,8 hectares of greens, fairways and teeing areas which are perfectly maintained throughout the year.
The Route of the Castles

The Châteaux course, the most famous of the Golf du Médoc, was voted the best course in France in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018 by the World Golf Awards. It is part of the purest tradition of Scottish links. The wide fairways lined with heather, gorse and broom lead players into unspoiled nature. The Vineyard route

The beauty of the golf course of Pessac comes from its some 120 hectares of pine forest and lakes bordered by rushes and groves. The golf course includes compact courses, 9 holes and 18 holes, welcoming golfers of all levels, beginners, advanced or experienced.
The rather flat Pessac course is cleverly punctuated with water obstacles and well-designed holes.
Do not waste too many shots on the wide fairways because the greens that await you are famous throughout the region for their quality and their tortured and generous curves.
In the surrounding area lies the Bordeaux vineyard region: the grands crus of Pessac Léognan are featured on the menu of the restaurant "Le Master" located on the golf course.
The 18-hole course
Flat ground, green pine forest, gentle curves: easy in appearance, the 18-hole course nevertheless offers water obstacles and wide fairways to be crossed with concentration and technicality. The 9-hole course
From hole n ° 1 to hole n ° 5, the 9-hole course runs alongside a stream, offering here and there beautiful water features, sparing varying difficulties until the end of the ninth hole, on the fairway aligned in front of the Club House: ideal for perfecting your game in a remarkably enhanced natural setting.
The compact 9-hole course
Dedicated to learning golf within the framework of the Pessac Golf School, the compact 9-hole course is also open to individual reservations.

A practice of 90 positions including 26 covered positions with different areas to work on different types of stroke.
Synthetic training area
Balls, targets, obstacles, clubs, flag ... Discover an area entirely devoted to training on the golf course of Pessac, which allows you to improve your game with different scenarios. 4 Pitching-greens, 2 Putting-greens and 2 training bunkers are also at your disposal to improve your little game.

Nature lovers, total immersion is guaranteed! Bordeaux Villenave-d'Ornon golf course is located just 15 minutes from downtown Bordeaux (now 2 hours from Paris by TGV). Built on the domain of Geneste, the Bordeaux golf course immerses you in a preserved environment where flora and fauna offer you a privileged moment.
It is carried out on a landholding of 100 hectares, of which 70 hectares are preserved in natural spaces.
History
The design and the architecture are signed by the architect Michel Niedbala. The Ugolf Bordeaux Villenave-d'Ornon has been open since September 2, 2017.
