Founded in 1928, the Berkshire Golf Club is home to two golf courses designed by Herbert Fowler, both of which are considered the most prestigious in the UK.
The Berkshire is a member club that warmly welcomes visiting golfers throughout the year to appreciate the beauty of its two pine and heather-fringed courses, and to meet the subtle challenges of traditional Fowler's superb design.
The "Red Course" is the better known of the Berkshire Golf Club's two courses because of its thrilling holes and beautiful setting amid towering evergreens and birch trees and vast expanses of heather. The par 72 course is well proportioned with six par 3, six par 4 and six par 5.
On the two courses of the Berkshire Golf Club, built almost a century ago, the "Blue Course" is sometimes eclipsed by the Red, but is nonetheless a great golf experience. This superb course begins with a magnificent par 3 which instantly confronts the golfer with the creativity of the architect, Herbert Fowler.
The Club welcomes visitors from Monday to Friday throughout the year by prior appointment with the Club secretariat. It is also possible to get a departure on weekends and public holidays after 12:00.
