Located 15 km west of Florence, not far from Prato, the Golf Club Le Pavonière is located in the middle of the huge park of an old residence that belonged to the Medicis.
Designed by architect Arnold Palmer, the course is located in a valley bordered by mountains to the south. The flat terrain, the numerous water obstacles and the famous Tuscan cypress trees make up the natural setting of this course which is characterized by its technical linearity.
The Golf Club Le Pavonière also has the particularity of being dotted with lakes and streams crossed by bridges and walls painted in Tuscan style, in warm orange and ocher tones, which adds a touch of class to Palmer's landscaping.
It is in fact an American course, with lakes and creeks, and wide, undulating greens in a typical Tuscan environment.
