Sublime and mysterious, this is how we could define the Golf International des Bordes. Indeed, this exceptional golf course, strictly reserved for its members, does not communicate. Their website is a very enigmatic Landing Page and high-end customers are looking for absolute calm, the terroir, the historical imprint ...
The golf des bordes is located in the department of Loir-et-Cher, in the Center-Val de Loire region.
History of Golf des Bordes
The Les Bordes golf course was originally born from an idea when the industrialist Baron Bich (the “Bic” pen brand) met the businessman Mr. Yoshiaki Sakurai. The two friends then decide to create a golf course of high quality and international dimension for their pleasure and that of their friends.
Robert Von Haage, Téxan architect with multiple creations was contacted to give an "American" touch to the project. Without limit given to the investment as well as to the size of the course, Von Haage created an extraordinary course by its beauty and originality. He knew how to exploit the riches of Sologne by integrating lakes with 12 of the 18 holes, while pushing the golfer in the heart of the Sologne forest.

Indeed, the layout of this new course will be inspired by a British links. With fairways planted with gorse, broom, but also heather and large jagged bunkers. The tradition will thus come to supplement the Old Course with a promising 18 holes which we will speak to you soon ... The new course of 7 yards (391 meters), designed by Gil Hanse, will be inspired by the classic style of the Parkland type courses. .

Robert hersant

The architecture of the Golf Parc is thus very largely inspired by "American" golf courses where the water features and target greens are legion. This particular design associated with this extraordinary environment gives the course a unique character. An imprint which took a long time to take shape due to the demands of the “artist Hersant” who, not satisfied with one detail, did not hesitate to have a hole reconstructed at the last moment to add a few more meters. .

The Golf de Sancerre is located on the edge of the Loire. With the hill of Sancerre as a backdrop, this course traced in the middle of hundred-year-old trees, decorated with natural water obstacles, is recognized as one of the most attractive in central France. The quality of the greens, the warmth of the welcome, the immediate proximity of the famous Sancerre vineyards make it a privileged golf destination.
The setting was there: the route of the course already inscribed between large hedges and the old arms of the Loire. Subtle harmony of a respected nature, discreetly embellished. The fairways thread their way, flush with the ground, the raised greens invite you from afar… You are under the spell, 18 times…. The numerous bunkers and water obstacles pose interesting problems for experienced players but the difficulties are never discouraging, the length is reasonable: no unnecessary stress, the game is still fun.
Signature holes
The Fifteenth Hole: The 3rd par 5 of the course, you will be wary of the out of bounds on the right and the acacia grove on the left, during your drive. Be careful on arrival, the approach to the green is full of bunkers to the right; it is therefore prudent to approach it from the left. You can then admire this green in its acacias case with the hill of Sancerre in the background.
The Seventeenth Hole: Diabolical par 4 with an out of bounds on the right, a river on the left! For the drive, not too many problems: the fallout zone is wide but the nightmare begins with the second shot: it takes extreme length and precision to hit the green in 2. The river and the out of bounds are sneakily closer together before the green, leaving only a very small corridor. Better to be careful, but even in this case any error in the trajectory will be fatal.
