Le golf course of La Wantzenau is located about ten kilometers from Strasbourg and extends over a region bordered by forests near the Rhine. Drawn by Jeremy pern, renowned English architect, and assisted by Jean Garaialde, one of the best professionals that French golf has known, the Golf de La Wantzenau offers a 18 very varied holes where water is an integral part of the course.
In this 72 hectare green setting, le clubhouse summarizes in its architecture the remarkable Alsatian heritage and contains within it a restaurant and pro shop as warm as they are welcoming.

Since its inauguration in 1991, the Wantzenau golf course regularly receives high level competitions. THE Men's Tournament of Nations and French Open, in 1993, this competition brought together 120 of the best European amateurs. In 1994, the Silver Pro, the National Omnium in 1996, a Challenge Tour in 1998, and in September 2004 the European Handigolf Championships.
2010 in the La Wantzenau golf course has returned to tradition, and hosted a new Challenge Tour. Competition acclaimed by all players on the circuit, since it was voted "best tournament of 2010" both for the quality of its organization and that of its course. The victory was won by theFrench amateur Romain WATTEL, which brought back on behalf of France the title of amateur world team champion few weeks later. Since, Romain WATTEL turned professional, and stay one of the great French hopes for future years
