The Ribagolfe Golf consists of two golf courses, Ribagolfe I and Ribagolfe II, both an 72-hole Par 18, just 30 minutes drive east of Lisbon city center.
The two Ribagolf courses are located in a cork oak forest. They perfectly match the natural reliefs of the site and offer many spectacular holes through lakes and valleys.
You can be sure that you will only be surrounded by nature and nothing else. Indeed, Ribagolfe was once described as the "Valderrama of Portugal".
The Ribagolfe golf course is a perfect course for hosting golf competitions. Since 2009, it has hosted the tournament for the qualifying cards for the European Tour. Fairly narrow fairways through cork oaks require precise shots rather than long ones, while large bunkers require vigilance, especially around the greens.
Ribagolf is recognized as a sensational golf course, in which natural elements occupy an important place and offer new challenges, even to the most demanding golfers.
Three of the Par 5s of the Ribagolf I course involve risks but are achievable in two strokes. The eagle or the double-bogey? It's up to you to choose your strategy. In particular the 12th hole which requires a second shot over a lake to find the green.
Water also comes into play on two other holes: the short par 4 of the 14th, where the golfer must choose to drive directly over the lake to reach the green directly or simply play an iron to get a second longer shot. Finally, the par 3 of 15 is an island green where the choices are limited to the green or the dropping zone.
