Golf Public du Nivernais

The Golf de Sancerre is located on the edge of the Loire. With the hill of Sancerre as a backdrop, this course traced in the middle of hundred-year-old trees, decorated with natural water obstacles, is recognized as one of the most attractive in central France. The quality of the greens, the warmth of the welcome, the immediate proximity of the famous Sancerre vineyards make it a privileged golf destination.

The setting was there: the route of the course already inscribed between large hedges and the old arms of the Loire. Subtle harmony of a respected nature, discreetly embellished. The fairways thread their way, flush with the ground, the raised greens invite you from afar… You are under the spell, 18 times…. The numerous bunkers and water obstacles pose interesting problems for experienced players but the difficulties are never discouraging, the length is reasonable: no unnecessary stress, the game is still fun.
Signature holes
The Fifteenth Hole: The 3rd par 5 of the course, you will be wary of the out of bounds on the right and the acacia grove on the left, during your drive. Be careful on arrival, the approach to the green is full of bunkers to the right; it is therefore prudent to approach it from the left. You can then admire this green in its acacias case with the hill of Sancerre in the background.

The Seventeenth Hole: Diabolical par 4 with an out of bounds on the right, a river on the left! For the drive, not too many problems: the fallout zone is wide but the nightmare begins with the second shot: it takes extreme length and precision to hit the green in 2. The river and the out of bounds are sneakily closer together before the green, leaving only a very small corridor. Better to be careful, but even in this case any error in the trajectory will be fatal.
