The international golf course of Chiberta, where the golf hotel is also located, was designed by Tom Simpson in 1927 to become, according to the architect's contract, the most beautiful golf course in the world. Today, golf still offers the course designed by Simpson which is a Par 70 with a length of 5647 meters. The creation, in 2002, of the 9-hole IMPERATRICE course provides a training tool for young people and offers a course for beginners, while being pleasant or even technically delicate for experienced players.
Golf playable all year round
In recent years, a superb coastal promenade has isolated the links from the beach. The fairways of the seaside are, therefore, less subject to the invasion of sand during the winter. On its bed of sand, the Chiberta golf course is playable all year round, even after episodic showers which surprise the Basque Coast.
