At the time of its inception, the Victoria Golf Course was hailed as the most ambitious golf project Portugal has ever seen. Designed by a true golfing legend, Arnold Palmer, there is no doubt that it has lived up to this noble reputation.
One of the most complete golf resorts in Europe
Covering an area of ​​90 hectares, the site includes one of the most complete golf complexes in Europe, and has an exceptional driving range and a putting green of some 2 m500. All of this has made it the preferred location for many of the top international tournaments that have been held in Portugal in recent times. Indeed, it has hosted the Portugal Masters each time since 2, while the World Cup Championship was held there in 2007.

The layout of this Par 72 championship course spreads its fairways over a length of 6,651 meters from the Back tees. Palmer respected the natural areas of the site, as well as the typical vegetation of carob, olive and almond trees. A significant part of the area of ​​the Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course is occupied by lakes, which constitute dangers to be avoided but which also have a strategic purpose in providing reservoirs for irrigation.

A number of teeing areas on each hole (often up to six are offered), accompanied by wide and undulating fairways, allow you to test your golf. Cleverly positioned water obstacles and bunkers are a constant threat and offer a real golfing challenge.

The Victoria Golf Course has quickly become one of the best golf courses in Portugal, with a layout that presents a real challenge for even the most experienced players.

Victoria Golf Course is just a 20-minute drive from Faro Airport, along the A22 motorway.

From Faro airport to the A22 motorway.
Exit Faro on the main road which runs along the airport roundabout and follow the signs for Faro and the A22. Continue on this road for approximately 2,5 km and take the second exit on the right towards the A22 Lisboa & Portimão to merge onto a two-lane road. After about 4 km, take the left lane and take the left fork into the two-lane road following the sign A22 / Lisboa / Portimão / Albufeira. After about 3 km, take the exit to the right of the expressway following the A22 Lisboa / Portimão / Albufeira sign.

Leave the A22 at the Boliqueime / Vilamoura exit, then follow the directions for Vilamoura. Upon entering Vilamoura, follow the signs for the Victoria Golf Course.

Laid out on a low-lying maritime terrain, the Dom Pedro Laguna Golf course with its numerous water hazards and few trees is considerably different from other Vilamoura golf courses and many of its holes exude a links atmosphere.

American golf architect Joseph Lee designed this course in 1990 and many visitors recognize it as one of the best golf courses in Vilamoura. It has been the subject of constant improvements in recent years.

With a length of 6121 meters from the back tees, the 18-hole Par 72 course has several lakes that influence and spice up the game. These water obstacles are present on 11 holes of the course. In addition to being a hazard and an emergency water supply, these lakes attract a variety of seabirds, both resident and migratory, as well as amphibians, otters and turtles. A charming course that will undoubtedly appeal to golfers of all levels.

In the heart of Vilamoura is the course of the Great Lady of the Algarve, The Old Course Golf Club. The design by Frank Pennink, one of the first golf course architects in the region, is highly regarded in the golf world. Although it is only a 20-minute drive from Faro Airport, the course is surrounded by impressive pine trees and stretches over gently rolling terrain.
