The Carton House Golf has two championship courses, located in a private 1 hectare park. Ideally located in County Maynooth Kildare, a short distance from Dublin, steeped in centuries of history, Carton House golf course is like no other.
The Montgomerie course
This course is part of the Carton House hotel complex. It was designed by the charismatic Scottish player Colin Montgomerie. As a good Scotsman, he showed on this site a certain talent for architecture, in particular for the strategic aspects, with particular care for the bunkers, which are often very deep. The water is in play on the 1st and 18th holes and the greens are well defended. This 18-hole course hosted the Irish Open.
The O'Meara Course
Also part of the complex, another high quality field, The O'Meara, was designed by the famous American player Marc O'Meara. It is always well maintained and less demanding than its neighbor the Montgomerie, it will suit golfers of all levels.

Located near the picturesque village of Dunsany, just north of Dunshaughlin and overlooked by the ancient Hill of Tara, Killeen Castle offers all the joys of real country life with easy access to town, being just forty minutes from city center and Dublin international airport.

Jack Nicklaus is considered the greatest golfer of all time. With 18 major titles in his career, he is the living legend of golf. Over the course of his life he racked up many records and here at Killeen Castle he created a world-class 18-hole course, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Design Championship.

The 2011 Solheim Cup Organizing Committee were so impressed with the plans for the Killeen Castle course that they designated it as the venue for the 2011 Solheim Cup before the golf course was built. finished. When construction began, Jack was there to oversee every step of the development and as a result the golf course is truly majestic. With a magnificent view of the "Co. Meath countryside" on the 600 hectares of the domain, players will never tire of the challenge offered to them.

Killeen Castle opened in May 2009 and had the privilege of hosting the Ladies Irish Open from 2010 to 2012. After construction of the courses, Jack described Killeen Castle as "one of our most beautiful creations ".
