Nick Faldo Course "Faldo Course"

Designed by the famous English champion Nick Faldo, this 6598m par 72 championship course is technical and demanding. "The land in Amendoeira is spectacular and the project has the potential to be the benchmark in the Algarve. With so many routes in the region, it is no small feat," said Nick Faldo, during his visit in 2007 .

The Faldo Course combines modernism and tradition. Indeed, cacti and wild herbs replace the role of Sunningdale heather, spartan holm oaks and ancient olive trees take the place of a lush English forest, and bunkers of fine sand replace the expanses of sand of Berkshire to offer a strategic and technical golf course.

In 2016, the Faldo Course won the title of best golf course in Portugal, awarded by the World Golf Awards.

O'Connor Jnr.

Designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr, this 18-hole Par 72 golf course complements the Faldo Course and blends in perfectly with nature. The sheer number of lakes and streams that stretch across the course demands precision from golfers that puts their skills to the test. The land has been skillfully landscaped and planted with palm trees, providing a lush ornamental setting that resembles a vast oasis.

This course is quite long, especially Back Tees. However, different starting areas make it accessible to players of all levels. Remarkably maintained fairways, lakes and large greens with steep drops are a real challenge.

The Academy course - Golf École

The Amendoeira Golf Academy course has nine holes. It consists only of PAR 3 and has lighting, which allows you to play at night. Located between the Faldo course and the O'Connor Jnr. Course, it is ideal for beginners and for those who want to improve their little game.

Its realization met strict quality criteria, the same as those of the Faldo and O'Connor Jnr course. The three teeing options on each hole make it possible to vary the playing situations and to make the most of each obstacle present around the green.

This nine-hole course will soon become one of the favorites of the Amendoeira Golf Resort and makes this place a must-see where golf is practicable 24 hours a day.
