THE PATHS
THE VALLEY - 1901 - 5 m - PAR 918
La Vallée was the first course built in the Paris region in 1901. Its winding and hilly course for the time was designed by the Scottish Willie Park Jr, winner of two British Open, who became one of the most famous architects of the early twentieth century. century.
The course hosted the first French Open in 1906, won by Club pro Arnaud Massy.
Ravaged during the Second World War, it was rebuilt in 1951 according to the original layout, making some changes and modifications necessary after the passage of the German tanks. Theater of 19 editions of the French Open, a World Cup in 1963, many prestigious tournaments such as the Open Perrier (1988 and 1991), the course of La Boulie has seen a significant number of glories of this sport like Arnaud Massy, Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Severiano Ballesteros, Fred Couples or Tiger Woods during the Amateur World Championships in 1994.
A course that has become legendary, La Vallée is not very long but rather technical. Its narrow fairways lined with trees of various species, with steep drops and numerous slopes represent the main difficulty of this route. You never play with your feet flat! The large and deep greens allow multiple flag positions, from the simplest to the most complex. They are defended by many deep bunkers requiring a little performing game.
LA FORÊT - 1968 - 6 m - PAR 122
Inaugurated in May 1968, the La Forêt course is designed in the heart of the Bois des Gonnards, bought by the Racing Club de France a few months earlier, bringing the total area of the site to over 100 hectares.
Its relatively flat route winds through trees of hundreds of different species, giving the course a rural atmosphere, rare in the region. Its fairways are quite narrow and its immense greens are almost systematically defended by wide and deep bunkers. Some par 4s are extremely long, requiring powerful and straight faceoffs, and several dog-leg holes such as numbers 7, 8 and 15 complete the difficulties of this long and demanding course.
Less prestigious than its big brother La Vallée, the La Forêt course is nevertheless just as interesting and pleasant to play and very difficult to score.More than just a second course, La Forêt offers a real golfing challenge over more than six kilometers and even becomes amazing when the trees are adorned with their autumnal colors.
LE COTEAU - 1911 - 1 m - PAR 086
The Coteau course is laid out in the heart of the site, on the hillside, very close to the small game area and the clubhouse. Composed exclusively of par 3s from 81 to 170 m, its hilly and physical layout makes it a truly selective course, ideal for training players of all ages and all levels. Its narrow fairways bordered by high roughs and the steep drop in each hole spice up the various friendly games that take place there. This small course serves as an educational support for the golf school, which regularly organizes ranking competitions for all the “Ciel et Blanc” small team members.
12 km from the Pont de Sèvres, the Saint Marc golf course deploys its greens and fairways in the magnificent domain of the Château des Côtes. On 52 hectares, the place is wooded with rare and hundred-year-old species. Slightly hilly, it is embellished with 4 hectares of natural bodies of water, which feed on a spring springing from a cave.
Thus, in a natural and unspoiled setting, the Saint-Marc golf course is a true haven of peace that will appeal to all golfers, both beginners and experienced.
Saint Marc golf course was designed by architects Fromanger and Adam, architects of several great courses in France. The course is a happy compromise between Scottish tradition and the use of the most modern techniques. Thus, it is the result of the search for a perfect harmony between the variety of the landscape and the game strategy. This diversity of forms, materials, as well as lights and spaces gives the game an ever different approach.
The 18-hole course, approved by the FFG, welcomes all levels of players. In addition, the sandy greens allow passionate golfers to play in any season.
To complete its offer, the Golf de Saint Marc offers various training facilities:
a 1000m2 putting green
an approach area with two greens, one with a bunker
54 practice stations with target, 18 of which are covered.

History and traditions
On June 15, 1633, Louis XIII acquired the 75 hectare estate of Fourqueux to donate it to his doctor, Charles Bouvard. During the years that followed, the estate remained the property of the successors of the King's “tapper”.
In 1923, with the exception of Villa Colin and the 1.5 hectare land kept by Charles and Marie Marret, the area until then operated by a farmer, was leased to a circle to create a golf course. Léon Visinet, member of the Automobile Club d'Ile de France, presides over the creation of the Golf & Tennis Club of Marly & Fourqueux.
The course was officially inaugurated on October 29, 1924. The golf course hosted international championships and Arnaud Massy established a course record there. With the war, the Fourqueux golf course ceased its activity on May 1, 1940. During the war, the area was used by German forces. Then it becomes again a property intended for the breeding of race horses.
In 1959, the announced closure of a golf course located in the town of Marly led a group of players to search for a nearby site to recreate a golf course.
The past and the beauty of the site appeal to the founding committee. The domain of Fourqueux is selected. On an area of 75 hectares, it was decided to revive a golf course by making 27 holes in a green setting. The course is designed by Lou Petitt and Hawtree is supervising the work. The ground is modeled. 26 trees and shrubs are planted. The golf course was inaugurated on May 000, 11.
A tree-lined course of great diversity
The course of Fourqueux is also traversed like an arboretum. Indeed, more than 50 species of conifers and 170 of deciduous trees can be spotted there. Native trees such as alders, chestnuts, oaks, ash and beeches inhabit the nearby forest of Marly. Trees established when the golf course was created and in the following years. Among them are numerous and diverse conifers. Spruce, fir, pine, douglas, cedar, cypress, sequoias and araucaria. Hardwoods of all kinds: hornbeam, maples, plane trees, lime trees, tall poplars, aspens, weeping willows, ...
