Built in the west of Lyon in 1988, the Lyon Salvagny Golf Club deploys its greens and fairways in the heart of the Lyon mountains, 20 minutes from Place Bellecour in La Tour-de-Salvagny. On an enclosed 72 hectare estate of great diversity with its woods, numerous ponds and valleys, you will discover two golf courses:

The 9-hole course of the Château
The Château's 9-hole course is a compact course. Of great technical quality, it will appeal to both beginners and experienced golfers.
18-hole course Les Étangs
The Parcours Les Étangs, the 18-hole course of the Lyon Salvagny Golf Club, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful courses in the Lyon region. A championship course that wins the votes of golfers for its great diversity. Ponds, woods and undulations thus surprise the eye and maintain the vigilance of the golfer throughout the course. Superb and varied, 6107 m long for a Par 72, the pond course offers players all the pleasure they expect from great golf.
It is not only a test of difficulty for professional players or good amateurs, but also a ground accessible to all, thanks to numerous starting areas. Some Par 3 are surprising, some Par 4 are daring, while Par 5 are spectacular. The balance of the lengths between the different holes, the rotation of the par within the course, the insertion of each hole in the landscape, have been carefully examined for the greatest pleasure of the players.
The greens are large, with surfaces varying from 300 to 800 m2. Pitched and putt shots are guaranteed here by the “on sand” formula recommended by the US Golf Association. Their slopes, the shapes of their front greens and surroundings are meticulously designed with a view to providing the most intense pleasures. The water obstacles, the bunkers are designed and located in order to stimulate the strategic approach of the game.
The Miribel-Jonage public golf course is a lovely 9-hole golf course. It is a Par 30 with a length of 1564 meters. It is located 15 minutes from Lyon, in the heart of a 2 hectare park of unspoiled nature. it also has a practice area with 200 stations, 40 of which are covered, as well as a putting green.
Open since 1993 in Vaulx-en-Velin, 69-Rhône.
Golf Lyon Tassin is the ideal place to learn golf, train and progress, just 4 km from downtown Lyon. It welcomes you in a protected natural setting, bordered by hundred-year-old trees.
The course
The course is accessible and fun for beginners and takes 1h20. Fairly short with holes ranging from 40 to 90 meters, this course remains technical even for experienced players.
The practice
The Lyon Tassin golf course offers a practice practice with all the most modern and recent elements:
34 stations on the latest generation synthetic departure areas, including 15 on the upper floor. These mats guarantee optimum playing comfort, reducing the risk of injury.
During the winter, the practice is lit from 17 p.m. to 30 p.m.

Les Vallons course
18 holes - Par 70 - 5900 meters
The 18-hole course of the Lyon Chassieu golf course skilfully combines ease and technicality. Easy is the evolution over the length of the fairways; technique is the gesture on bunkers bitterly defended, sometimes deep, sometimes fast, approaching the greens. Alternating between flat and hilly areas, the terrain requires the player to raise his level of play when the wind blows over the high roughs: it is nonetheless accessible to both beginners and experienced golfers.
Compact course
6 holes - Par 18 - 591 meters
Dedicated to learning golf within the framework of the Lyon Chassieu Golf School, the compact 6-hole course is also open to individual reservations, ideal for a short circuit (one way or round trip depending on the crowd).
Good to know: departures are carried out on carpet; the package is approximately 2 hours of play; the layout of the compact is designed to test its mastery of approaches on fairways, green attacks and short play.
The Golf du Beaujolais is a pleasant, technical course, accessible for all levels. Lateral water obstacles are present on 8 holes, the greens are vast, the surfaces worked. Thanks to the drainage and the rolling hills, you can play all winter long on summer tees and greens.
20 km north of Lyon, the surroundings of the golf course offer players the vision of valleys with well aligned vines and villages with golden stones. Golfers will have a lot of fun meeting in the club house installed in an important Beaujolaise house made of local stones, and tasting in its cellar the 10 wines selected by the club.
The course unfolds in the middle of the vines and takes on all its charm in autumn. In fact, the leaves of some trees take on incredible shades in autumn: red, orange, golden yellow, purple ... The layout is technical but accessible to all. Relatively long, the course has a few strategically placed water features and bunkers. You will need a precise set of iron to attack some relatively narrow greens.
Finally, the Beaujolais golf course has a covered and grass practice range for training, as well as a 5-hole compact.
Easy to access by the A42 or A432 motorways, the two courses of the Golf Club de Lyon are however sheltered from any real estate or road nuisance. Indeed, these two courses, very different from each other, deploy their greens and fairways in a nature reserve. It's up to you to discover them and share a sporting atmosphere marked by different titles:

The Brocades
Par 72 - 6105 meters
The Brocards course, a Par 72 of 6 105 meters, hides its game well and does not lack charm or difficulties. He also received the French Open in 1979 as well as other international events of the European Tour, notably consecrating the Italian Constantino Rocca in 1993 who established the course record in 63.
Do not be fooled by appearances ! Here is a course less easy than one imagines, which presents long Par 3, very complex, but also many holes in dog leg where it is necessary to know how to place the ball well.

The Boars
Par 72 - 6575 meters
Created in 1991, this Par 72 of 6 meters of back tee is a real championship course set in a totally natural environment made of wood and water.
Extremely varied both by the diversity of the holes and the presence of water on 9 of them, this course constitutes a formidable technical and physical challenge. All golf strokes must be mastered in order to perform. Very straightforward course without any blind stroke, it consists of vast greens designed with light but very subtle slopes rewarding the best putters.
This course was imagined and designed by Hugues Lambert who successfully used the meanders of the Rhône to develop enclaves of carefully maintained wildness. Another daring: a panoramic hillock offers spectators an exceptional view of the start or finish of 10 of the 18 holes of the course.
