Presentation

Le Dinard golf course is a real historical link. Designed by Tom Dunn in 1887, this golf course is the second oldest in France after the golf course of Pau (1856). It is located on the Emerald Coast in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer nearly Dinard en Britain by the sea that we see from the 18 holes.

DINARD GOLF CLUB-HOUSE PUTTING GREEN

They all have a name (La Patte de Chien, La Bérésina, etc.). This route is neither long nor tiring. So it may sound easy, but the final score reminds you of reality. Because if it is not difficult, it is delicate: sandy soil, wavy fairways, small greens, raised and very fast and, many bunkers, very few trees, but lots of broom and gorse.

DINARD GOLF AERIAL VIEW

Dinard golf course is also the wind ! In golf as in a bicycle, it is almost always in front or in profile and it is much harder. It also happens to be very strong and then it is necessary keep the ball low and have several in his bag. But the wind has other advantages. It moderates the extremes, attenuates the strong heat, softens the harsh winters and drives the rain-laden clouds towards the interior.

This legendary place is a classified site where many varieties of remarkable animals and plants have been identified. A biotope decree protects them and makes them a nature reserve.

For the rest. the Dinard golf course is full of history. It welcomes lovers of the place, including many champions. Federal competitions such as classification cups or grand prizes are played there.

Superb course. The holes are well laid out and blend in completely with the landscape. The first few holes are away from the coast, but after that you have great views and challenging holes. There's even a tower atop a World War II bunker. Clubhouse with a pleasant atmosphere and good greens. A course for which I would gladly return.
