Golf Real Club Puerta de Hierro

The National Center of the Spanish Golf Federation, known in Spanish as Centro Nacional de la Real Federacion Española de Golf, is located 10 km from the center of Madrid. It is an 18-hole golf course accessible to golfers of all levels. Opened in 2005, the course has hosted prestigious European Tour events such as the Madrid Masters 2009, the Spanish Open 2007 and the Challenge of Spain 2006.
A famous Architect: Dave Thomas
The golf course was designed by Dave Thomas, architect of Belfry, Abama and Terre Blanche, among others, by Jorge Soler-Peix and by the team of the Green Project.

The course is located on a small hill and has very few trees. At first glance, the course may seem easy, but once the wind starts to blow, the ponds and bunkers seem bigger than ever.
