The Real Club Puerta is a historic golf course located in Madrid. Since its inception, the Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro has maintained a strict admission policy in an exclusive atmosphere, where visitors must be accompanied by a member.
The clubhouse is an elegant building which in no way opposes the low-key atmosphere of the place. Located in a residential area, it offers all the facilities one would expect from an installation of this quality. The club has two 18-hole courses.
Designed in 1904, the Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro “Abajo” is one of the oldest, traditional and exclusive golf courses in Spain. Signed Robert Trent Jones Jr, the golf course has quality fairways and greens. It fits perfectly into its green environment and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. This 18-hole golf course is a par 72, with a length of 6052 meters. It offers a multitude of interesting and unique holes, which will make your game a remarkable experience.
The Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro “Arriba” is the work of several architects. It was originally designed by Tom Simpson and then some changes were made by Harry Colt in 1912. About 2000 years later John Harris redesigned the course and more recently Kyle Phillips undertook the redesign of the course in the 1972s. Host to many prestigious tournaments throughout its history, notably the Madrid Open (1993-XNUMX), this golf course has stunning views and impeccable quality.
