Le golf Granville is a links unique in France, An authenticity and of a character similar to the centuries-old journeys ofIreland orEcosse. Created in 1912 at the initiative of Messrs. De Venloo and Coste, the design of the golf course is entrusted to Harry Shapland Colt who has to his credit remarkable achievements such as Pines Valley (USA), Rye et Sunningdale (England).
The 18-hole course: The Links
The Links deploys its greens and fairways over approximately 6000 meters. Of rare authenticity, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful courses in golf in normandy. High roughs, tricky little bunkers, seaside, vast fairways ... Everything is there to reconnect with the very essence of the game of golf. If you are in the region, this 18-hole course is definitely worth a detour!
In recent years, this golf course steeped in history has evolved. So many bunkers were created or worked in “Scottish” style. Strategically well placed, these "Bunker Traps" toughen up the game but also offer visually very aesthetic reliefs. Host of the Gounouilhou
For its centenary, the Granville golf course has hosted the Gounouilhou (The Gounouilhou Trophy is the name given to the first men's division of the French Club Golf Championship. It brings together every spring, on a large French course, the sixteen clubs of the country's amateur elite).
The 9-hole course: Les Dunes
To complete its offer, the Granville golf course also has a 9-hole course. The “Dunes” consists of 6 Par 4 and 3 Par 3 to offer a superb Par 33 with magnificent greens. Also by the sea, this course is ideal for training before going to face the Links.
