Inaugurated in 1909, the Fontainebleau golf course is theone of the oldest golf courses in France. The 18-hole course

Your fairways, relatively narrow, are bordered by trees of various species, pines, but also birches, cherry trees, beeches and hundred-year-old oaks. They are very defended by 103 bunkers of fine sand, but also by thick copses of heather, lilac, ferns and broom, which make it charm and difficulty and compose, according to the seasons, a symphony of colors and smells.

Large traditional golf course, Fontainebleau is considered by many players as one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe. It was ranked in 2001, by the readers of the magazine Golf Européen, 1st Golf in France, all criteria combined, and figure 17th in the Top 50 golf courses of the European continent of "Golf world".

This is a truly beautiful golf course and unforgettable experience. I am an American who has been fortunate to have played or been a member at many top rated venues over the years. With the increased attention to maintenance that is evident since my last time here, I can say with confidence that Golf de Fontainebleau has been returned to its position as one of the finest clubs in Europe. It is a joy to play and there is no finer place to enjoy a beer than on the terrace overlooking the 9th green. Take my advice and stay at Hotel de Londres directly across from the Chateau where the owners are serious golfers and members at this exclusive club.
