The Golf de Rigenée welcomes you in a green and warm setting. Created in the 80s by Caroline and Emmanuel Descampe, Rigenée is one of the oldest courses in Brabant Wallon.
Established in Villers-la-Ville since 1982, it was designed by the famous Belgian architect Paul Rolin on “magical” grounds which, except in cases of force majeure, allow play throughout the year on summer greens. ! Very open and not very wooded, it is a delicate course, redesigned over the years by Christophe Descampe, son of the founder and current President of the Club.
The course, with its rather wide fairways, is uniformly flat but never boring thanks to numerous obstacles placed at strategic places. The terrain is constantly evolving in order to make the courses more lively: ponds are dug, bunkers of grass, sand and front greens increase the difficulty, numerous bodies of water, flowering bushes and groves make their nests there, etc. Without forgetting its multiple starting areas which delight players of all levels.
The holes are well balanced and offer a pleasant pace of play. We will especially note the technical quality of Pars 5, of an honest length, which makes them "challenging" holes. Rather rare: the course ends with a Par 3 uphill.
Its open character transforms the course when the wind picks up. And challenge the best Links players, which requires a game as complete as it is precise.
It is not by chance that the Club, with its very sporting atmosphere, is traditionally among the most brilliant in the Interclub championships and if it hosts many national competitions.
