Newmachar Golf Club is located on the outskirts of Aberdeen and a few miles from the international airport. it has two 18-hole courses, the Swailend and the Hawkshill, the latter being the older and more demanding of the two.
Slightly and pleasantly hilly, its fairways and greens are lined with strategically placed pines, birches and bunkers, water often comes into play. It has hosted important championships such as the Scottish Professional Championship or the Scottish Seniors Open. A quality course and one of the most difficult and best in the region.
The Swailend Course was also designed by Dave Thomas and was opened to the public in June 1997. Although more forgiving than the Hawkshill Course, its rolling fairways, fast greens and well-placed bunkers present a real challenge for golfers of all. levels.
