The Guardian Bom Sucesso golf course is located on the Silver Coast, near Obidos in Portugal. On the edge of the Obidos lagoon, the Bom Sucesso golf course is located 50 minutes from Lisbon.
The Guardian Bom Sucesso 18-hole championship golf course was designed by Donald Steel and opened in 2008. The architect's intention was to reproduce the character of classic and traditional courses with as little firework as possible.
With stunning views over the Obidos Lagoon, Bom Sucesso Golf Course is a combination of relatively flat terrain (first 9 holes) and rugged terrain (last 9 holes). It is a strategically designed golf course between carefully placed and deep lakes and bunkers.
From the Back Tees (the white balls), the Bom Sucesso, in Obidos, Portugal, is a golf course difficult enough to put the best players in the world to the test. However, from the advanced starts, players of all levels will be able to enjoy the natural environment and play their handicap without too much difficulty with a good playing strategy.
The 17th hole of the Bom Sucesso golf course is a very exciting par 5. It sits on the highest elevation of the course, going downhill and right to left over stunning ridges to a green with Obidos Lagoon in the background. The temptation for the best golfers will be to cut the Dog-Leg to reach the green in half, but the steeply sloping terrain to the left of the hole will make this approach dangerous.
