Located on the east coast, Quinta da Ria Resort is a well-known golf destination in the Algarve.
It offers two spectacular golf courses, Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima, both 18 holes, with unforgettable panoramas.
Just over half an hour from Faro International Airport, Quinta da Ria Resort is perfectly integrated into the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. This reserve is the most important ecosystem in the Algarve. Designed by architect Rocky Roquemore, The Ria course is qualified by discerning golfers as the most beautiful in the region. The views of the sea and the coastal islands, combined with the most distant mountainous landscape, undoubtedly make Quinta da Ria a paradise for golfers.
La Quinta de Cima is a championship course and offers different and unique characteristics. Indeed, wide fairways, well-placed bunkers and several lakes and streams require great precision for greens attacks. A real challenge even for the most experienced players.
Located in the Ria Formosa Natural Park, this 18-hole golf course offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and Cacela Velha Beach, which was recently voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
From the start of the course you will be able to recognize the work and design of a world famous golf architect - Rocky Roquemore.
The architect's idea was to create a stimulating golf course, while maintaining the original natural landscape with thousands of ancient olive and carob trees.
With five lakes scattered over relatively flat terrain, the two 9 holes (Round Trip) offer a balanced mix of Par 3 Par 4 and Par 5. One of Quinta da Ria's most iconic holes is the 17th hole, which has a small island on the lake, now a sanctuary for rare endangered birds.
While playing this course, take a moment to appreciate the immense variety of wild life that inhabit this region.

Also designed by the famous American architect - Rocky Roquemore, Quinta de Cima was designed as the resort's championship course.
The opening PAR 5 offers a smooth start to the course, but the course will become more difficult as the course progresses. Indeed, with many dog-legs of undulating greens well protected from large bunkers and lakes ... The Quinta de Cima course knows how to defend itself!
Along the route you will find many secular carob and olive trees, which adds a certain character to the layout. The natural beauty and technical difficulty of this golf course will keep you coming back time and time again. Only the most experienced golfers will be able to bring back a nice scorecard to the Club-House.
