Golf de Saintes Louis-Rouyer Guillet

Created in 1953, 5 minutes from downtown Saintes, Golf Louis Rouyer-Guillet is the oldest golf course in the region New Aquitaine.

The 18-hole course

Conclusion 18 hole course combines technique with the pleasure of playing. It allows golfers of all levels to express themselves through the variety of playing situations. 9 first holes are quite sporty but you can always rent a cart ... Last 9 holes offer an exceptional view of the city of Saintes.

Also, the charm of the Golf of Saintes Louis-Rouyer Guillet is underlined by the presence of the remains of the Gallo-Roman aqueduct serving the ancient capital of Aquitaine of Mediolanum Santonum.

The "Signature" holes

• Le seventh hole is  the most difficult of the course. All the shots to be played on this hole will be difficult. Indeed, it is long, uphill, riding a dogleg, with difficult bunkers and a sloping green. You have to lean on the right of the fairway all the way through the hole, trying to avoid obstacles. From the white boules, it's almost a Par 5.
• Le eleventh hole of the Saintes Louis-Rouyer Guillet golf course is a very small Par 3, but beware of very small green withwater front and a bunker behind to the right. So you have to be careful with the wind, close your eyes and play a 110m stroke (from the white boules). All players who have played well on the first leg will be "afraid" of this hole in stroke play.
