The course

History
For history lovers, some information on the origins of the castle. This castle was for the first time a stately home in 1583, when the de Vion family acquired the estate, a very simple edifice composed only of main buildings and an advanced wing, without moldings, without masks.

Of the old castle surrounded by ditches, only a part remains, clearly showing the period of the XNUMXth century. The conservation of these buildings and the beauty of the exhibition make it a most pleasant home. Warée, garden architect, was able to take advantage of the grounds of the castle park.

He planted trees and shrubs grouped together by contrast and harmony; dark hues in the foreground, then ashy and tender green foliage. The estate remained in the de Vion family until the beginning of the 20th century.
