The history of the golf course of Biot
It was in 1930 that this 18 hole course, then baptized Bastide du Roy golf course, was created in the heart of French Riviera, at the foot of the village of Biot, the city of glassmakers, making it one of the oldest golf course of the region.
The course of the course reflects the atypical character of these creators. Indeed, the two architects at the origin of its layout were perceived as aristocratic adventurers of their time.
James Peter Gannon, amateur player, designed several courses in Italy, South Africa and Germany before working on this project. His sidekick, Percy Boomer was a golf professional before devoting himself to teaching with a renowned method, demonstrating an extraordinary analytical capacity and an innovative teaching approach ...

Easily played on foot, this 18 holes could almost be called rustic by its initial design. On the model of the golf courses of Northern Europe, it is simple without being simplistic and very accessible to beginners, but its slope is not easy and good players often have to show humility.
La Brague and Valmasque are both rivers which constitute natural obstacles. All along the course, the greens open up a clear view of the village of Biot, the city of glassmakers, a picturesque village hanging on a spur above the valley of the river La Brague.

Golf lessons: Discovery and improvement
From beginners to high-level players, the teachers offer individual or group lessons, at the practice or on the course, in a friendly and sporting atmosphere. The Biot Golf Academy is not only a place of learning but it is also a place of sharing and well-being where we learn to surpass ourselves by improving our performance.
To address all areas of the game, the academy offers a wide range of courses. Thanks to the advice of the Pros, every moment is dedicated to adapting your golf technique while developing the physical and mental skills, in order to be able to reproduce the movements and benefit from progress to have fun on the course.
The teachers, PGA professionals, offer you individual or group lessons, on the practice or in the field. It is possible to book a class with a teacher even if you are not a Club Member.
