Established in 1884, the Aldeburgh Golf Club has two golf courses, the 18-hole Championship Course and the River Course, a charming 9-hole more suitable for beginners and high handicap golfers.
The Championship Course is built on a maritime moor and is characterized by fairways bordered by gorse and breathtaking views over the Alde and the North Sea. The fast-draining sandy soil allows it to play well all year round; in winter, the greens and fairways are in excellent condition, with no need for temporary greens.
Visitors are welcome to play on the Championship Course on weekdays and weekends throughout the year. It is a beautiful place to play golf, the view of the 'Alde' river and the North Sea. , gray one day, blue the next, are enough to boost morale, even if the score is not quite up to the expectations of the players.
