Golf d'Ormesson

Located 15 km from Porte de Bercy, the Ormesson golf course is a Sports Association whose main activity is dedicated to the practice and discovery of golf. Ormesson golf course is theone of the very first courses built in France by Count Wladimir d'Ormesson in 1925. It was destroyed during the Second World War and my grandparents, André and Antonella d'Ormesson then called on the English architect CK Cotton in 1965 to give a second life to this place.

In Ormesson, there are as many routes as there are seasons! And if you come to play here in winter, you will rediscover the course in spring, but also in summer and autumn. Facing golfers, the course is defending well and golfers never tire of it! Sporty, wooded and hilly, these are in three words the character traits of Ormesson's journey.

A sporting course

Le Sportif et le Vallonné begins with hole 1. Nothing very original, except that this number 1 is really delicate, a par 4. A distance of 420 meters with a descent, with several stages, crossing a piece of water and a climb to the green. The golfer will have to work at the same time the distance, to avoid the plantations of trees as harmonious as trapping, to reach the green well defended by its bunkers. Yes the golfer must be informed and focused to approach this course designed by an architect fan of great players.

An elegant course

Thus wooded the course is elegant. Trees and paths merge into a whole which seems drawn by nature itself. In Ormesson, we find landscapes inspired by the English countryside, Swiss or Italian perspectives and this Ile-de-France signature. The trees play on a palette of colors, the dark green of the tall cedars, the tender spring leaves become clearer with summer, changing from rust to ochres.

Trees are really part of life in Ormesson, discreet and indispensable. They welcome the secrets of amateurs delighted with their exploits or professionals disappointed by a miss. They are discreet, always there, they are the changing setting for moments of sport and happiness.

• Open every day and all year round. Except during the holiday season when we are closed on December 24, 25, 26 and 31, as well as January 1 and 2.
• Winter hours (December to February): 08:30 a.m. - 18:45 p.m.
